Quotes from Benjamin Button

Benjamin Button: Goodnight, Daisy.
Daisy: Goodnight, Benjamin.

Benjamin Button: Along the way you bump into people who make a dent on your life. Some people get struck by lightning. Some are born to sit by a river. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim the English Channel. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people can dance.

Benjamin Button: It's a funny thing about comin' home. Looks the same, smells the same, feels the same. You'll realize what's changed is you.

The letter to his daughter

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”

“We are defined by opportunities, even the ones we miss”

“You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went, you can curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.”

Daisy: You're so young.
Benjamin Button: Only on the outside.

"We were meant to lose people. How else would we know how important they are?"

“You never know what’s coming for you.”

Oh... I was so touched by the quotes where they say it at the correct scene. The saying goodnight to each other between Ben and Daisy was really cute... even though there are thousand miles apart from each other.
The quote on losing people that we love is really true. You cry and mourn for the losses.
We plan for surprises and that's why we never know what's coming for us.
Yes, we meet all kinds of people that shape our lives and memories.
When it comes to the end, we have to let go and before we let go, we curse and swear just to vent our anger and sadness.
Opportunities are always there, it's the matter of our sight to spot the opportunities that may change our life forever, even just for a second.

Anyways, now I know why it's nominated in the Oscars and being nominated in the most category along with LOTR. Good movie though and the ending appeals to be somewhat sad and peaceful. Great interludes and soundtracks which seems to be appropriate for the movie. Brad Pitt drools me with his perfect shoulders and please do not rectify me for my remarks that he is not cute. He is indeed not that handsome. Cate Blanchett is a beautiful woman. I hardly took notice of her and the last time I saw her in the movie was 'Aviator' from Leonardo Dicaprio's where she portrayed herself being sporty and cool. The red hair really strikes her beautifully and Ben was right, she is mesmerizing. Worth to watch.
